Serpent Seven 20 On-Road Touring Car

The Serpent 720, based on the ultra successful Serpent 710, the Serpent 720 has been extensively tested on many different track conditions to ensure the best overall performance.

Serpent 720

The new Serpent Seven 20 continues to improve upon the long line of championship-winning, ultra-successful, and highly-competitive 1/10th scale cars from Serpent, setting new standards in quality, ease of assembly, ease of use, and outright performance.

Serpent Seven 20 Rear end

The Serpent 720 includes a new rear end which features a newly designed 1-piece lower wishbones and fully adjustable uprights. As with all the wishbones on the car, the lower wishbones can be used on both the left and right sides, minimizing the number of spare parts needed to bring to the track. The rear upright features robust pivotball mounting points on the bottom and two upper camber link mounting holes for fine-tuning rear roll center.

Serpent 720 Rear anti-roll bar

The Serpent 720 all new rear anti-roll bar is now ball-raced for extra precision. Stiffness is quickly and easily adjustable by changing the linkage mounting points on the lower wishbones or alternatively by changing the position of the ball joint pivot point on the roll bar itself. To further stiffen the rear end of the car, Serpent has created a distinctive S-shaped carbon brace which spans the two rear bearing blocks.

New Braking system

The Serpent Seven 20 features a new braking system that is similar to that pioneered on the Serpent 960 in that it does away with the need for guidance pins in the chassis plate. The Serpent 720 comes with a single ventilated brake disk to further improve braking performance and consistency.

Serpent Lightweight transmission

The Seven 20 comes with the same lightweight and well-tested transmission that was in the Serpent 710. The Serpent 720 gearbox and clutch features a fine gear pitch and lightweight components, which result in better acceleration while the race-winning Centax-III clutch system is easily adjusted and performs brilliantly.

Serpent 720 Chassis

The Serpent 720 is equipped with a 4mm chassis plate as standard. Made from high-grade aluminum, this chassis plate features countersunk screw holes along the bottom to ensure that no screws come in contact with the ground. The chassis Serpent Seven 20 also features chamfered edges to give greater clearance when going over curbs or when running low to the ground.

Adjusting the Serpent 720

The Serpent 720 has been designed with the highest level of competition in mind and is therefore fully adjustable. The racer can change numerous settings easily and effectively, including the suspension geometry. Upstops and downstops can be easily accessed and easily adjusted for optimum handling, as can the car’s roll centers at both the front and rear of the car. Castor, toe, and camber are also easily adjusted.
